Social, Associate, Affiliate and Service Membership
The Returned and Services League, has some 263 sub-branches throughout Victoria, and with a growing membership of 190,000, it is one of the largest service and ex-service associations in Australia, which offers reciprocal rights once you join as a member.

Membership Prices for 2026:
$20 for Service, Affiliate and Social.
Triennial membership is available at only $50.
Associate Member $10 (If already a Service or Affiliate Member at another RSL)
You can only be a Social member at one RSL
Affiliate and Service Application
For past and present serving members of the Australian Defence Force and Allied Armed Forces with a minimum of 6 months service. This includes voting rights.
Service memberships are available to current and former members of the Australian Defence Force and Allied Armed Forces with a minimum of six months of service.
Affiliate memberships are available to relatives of a person eligible to be a Service member of the League. Affiliate memberships are also available to members of:
- State or Federal Police Force
- State Emergency Service
- Bronze Medallion member of a Surf Life Savings Club or
- Correction/Prison Officer
- Emergency services (police, fire brigade, CFA, ambulance and/or SES)
To be eligible for Affiliate membership of RSL Victoria you must not be eligible for Service membership and:
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Be related to a person (living or deceased) who is or was eligible to be a Service member of the RSL
Social Application
Available to those who are not eligible for Service or Affiliate memberships. This does not include voting rights.
Social memberships are available to any member of the community who wishes to join an RSL Sub-Branch.
